Scalle’s, although not a diner, is set is an old Carlisle warehouse at the split of York and Trindle Roads.

They carry your typical assortment of sandwiches, subs, grilled foods and even mexican items on the menu.

Each day has a specials board and all their food is available for take-out, including a 6-Pack beer and malt-beverage takeout service.

The Warehouse, as we will refer to it as, has the best Liver & Onions that we’ve had in a long, long time. Fresh, done just right, onions nicely golden and draping the liver in just the correct amount. The battered cod was also SO fresh, cooked to perfection. Mmm-MMM! We’ll be back!!!

I absolutely love their taco salads. Out of a million restaurants and I must say that scalles is my absolute favorite! I’ve celebrated my birthdays there every year since I was 5 years old. That’s 13 years since! It’s great!

I personally know the Owner Mike, and I have to say, I’m not being biased in any way. This is an awesome restaurant, friendly staff, and amazing food! THOSE FRIES…. to die for! I may just have to stop in real soon!

Best restaurant I’ve ever been too! Its nice to someone out there making food the way it should be… especially their curly fries! I’m addicted to their curly fries. The wait staff are amazing and engaging!

I’ve been going there for over 16 years! Their subs are terrific! Always super fresh and lots of onions! My Husband loves their hamburgers! Great corn nuggets! Really have never had anything bad there, always freshly prepared! Owner makes their shoo fly pie and that’s super good too, when it’s fresh!

I LOVE this place. It’s one of my absolute favorite restaurants of all time. Casual and comfortable dining. Delicious food. Excellent customer service. This is the first restaurant I recommend to anyone who is ever looking to try a new place or even revisit an “oldie”. 🙂 Can never go wrong with Scalle’s.

Just tried Scalle’s yesterday. Friend & I were going to go to Mamma Spriggs, a couple doors away in the former Little John’s, because Mamma Sprigg’s is very good. But last minute, pulled into Scalle’s. Very nice surprise. Very casual, seat-yourself pub looking place. Food was very good and dessert was wonderful. The service was very good also. Lot’s of choices, many soups to choose from. I had the fish & chips w/slaw; delicious. Friend had the mushroom swiss burger & slaw which she said was wonderful. We got there on a Saturday around 12:30 and right after, the place literally filled up. Wraps, salads, sandwiches and also platters/dinners, something for everyone.

I am visiting a friend in Enola. We went antiquing & stopped for lunch. I had corn fritters & apple fritters which we shared and the turkey burger. Food was served hot. The corn fritters were sweet without the syrup (some dipped in it). The apple fritters were delightful!
The turkey burger was good & not dry. Moist even without mayo. Loved the pickles!!

Scalles is one of my favorite places! I go at least once a week for lunch. My favorites are the Bacon Cheddar Burger, Taco Salad, Reuben, and Chicken Salad on a Pita Pocket! Kelly is my favorite waitress. She knows what my favorite beverage is and brings one when she comes to take our order.

I can’t stay away. I am so addicted to this little place. Could eat there every night. Everything is sooooo good and the waitresses have been very nice. Chris is the greatest since shoe fly pie which we take home a lot. She always remembers us and what we drink. Oh, one thing I wish they would do is cut down on the onions in their chicken salad. It is so good, but the onions over power it. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 9 3/4 because of the onions. If they would cut back on them, the scale would be off the chart. A big fan from Dillsburg.

Overall good food, (3 out of 4 of us liked our food), charming atmosphere, but our service was not great. Our waitress was not very pleasant, and seemed annoyed from the time she came to our table until the time she gave us our check. Maybe she was having a bad night, but another customer at the table next to us also commented on her rudeness. Our friends love this pace and we went there to give it a try, but to me, all the great food in the world doesn’t matter when the service is bad. However I agree with one of the previous reviewers… The portabello sandwich is VERY good. (Burgers were good too!)

We love this place…use to go there all the time when we lived there. Now living 16 hours away, we come to visit and make sure we go there!

Fantastic pub style food. Lots of choices. Some of the normal stuff and some pretty unique. Good beer selection (for take out too). Reasonable prices and casual family-friendly dining for lunch or dinner. This place is great.

I have to agree about the menu. There are quite a few options. Makes it hard to determine what to have sometimes. Read an article about how the more options a person is given, the more paralyzed they become… but I am going off topic.
