I went to Rustic to use a Groupon coupon. I was surprised how busy it was for a Wednesday night. Service was prompt, portions were good. Menu is not very adventurous but solid food and cooking.

My husband says they have the best steaks in the area – and steak-lovers know how hard it is to get a steak made how they REALLY like it. We love it!! My friend and I go there every other week for lunch – we call ahead, our meal is on the table when we walk in – couldn’t ask for better service, atmostphere and food. I tell all of my friends about it.

Pretty decent food but not super great. Worth going to again but only okay.

We are now residing in Carlisle after 30 yrs in Baltimore. We missed the soft crabs until we found the Rustic Inn. Just as good as Phillips in the Inner Harbor and better than most. We’ll go back.

Tom and Penny have a great restaurant here and I have never gone there and had a bad meal. My husband and I almost always get ther 24 oz. house sirloin for $17.95. Where else can you go and get a great tasting steak plus two sides for this price….oh yeah, I always take steak home and have enough for 2 more meals…great for breakfast with eggs, or lunch as a sandwich.

When my Belefonte friends come to town for the car shows, they always look forward to our end of day meal at the Rustic Tavern. Very good food, friendly staff – never have had a bad meal there. My wife loves their crab cakes!

I’m new to the area and have now been to the Rustic tavern three times. It has a great atmosphere. It’s unique in the fact that you can be as dressed up or down as you like and still feel quite comfortable either way.

They have some great specials, the prime rib is insane. Believe me, you will not mistake it for anything but slow home cooked! I’ve had some great chicken dishes there as well. The crab cakes are pretty darned good as well. The only let down I have had has been the pine nut encrusted salmon. It still had great flavor, but it seemed to be a predone frozen piece of fish and a little over cooked and dry.

The kids menu is another nice surprise. My kids love steak and they have kids steak for six dollars. My wife & I and two kids can eat there for 50 – 60 dollars with a drink or two even. Great value, it’s a place you’d go to regularly.

I worked at the rustic for over a year and half washing dishes and doing prep work. do not listen to carlisessilentdiner. I spent countless hours hacking vegetables for those damn salads, they [surely] didnt come out of a bag. of course there is some sysco products used…you have clearly never worked in a restaurant silent. start spending time in the kitchens of some of carlisles finest and you will see sysco food products, thats just how it goes. the cooks at the rustic know what they are doing, and they do it well. shrimp diablo is amazing.

This guy talking about Sysco food is a complete idiot [… editor deletion, please watch language …] Frozen hamburgers? Yeah right pal go back to McDonald’s if you cant afford the prices. I am biased because it is my friends place but I go with my girlfriend and friends all the time and with new creations always changing daily specials makes this one of the top choices in Carlisle. Get any of the stuffed crab dishes mmmm mmm good. My favorite is the new york strip covered with crab imperial.

Carlisle is in need of a good steak house. Still looking – Rustic is as close as it gets. Been hit or miss with their steaks.
