Mt Fuji – located in the old Empire Restaurant slot – serves very decent sushi and the only restaurant in Carlisle that has a dedicated sushi bar (as of this writing… updates? let us know in the comments!).
There is regular seating and a sushi bar. The chefs create the rolls right at the bar in the front. All other entres are prepared in the back. Nice service – take out available.

Hands down the best sushi restaurant i have been to. Ed Arson and I go there at least twice a month together, never disappointed. Some people are complaining about the temperature of the sushi rolls…it all depends on the roll. Some are meant to be served cold, some closer to room temperature, and some, such as the mount fuji roll, are deep fried and served hot. If the temperature is important to you, ask the servers what rolls come served cold. This isn’t the cheap sushi you buy at a strip mall, or some junk hibachi place that happens to serve sushi. The sushi chefs work every single day, and they are damn good at what they do. I am a little taken aback by people saying they were not satisfied. I have tried sushi all the way from north carolina to maine and over to san francisco, and i have never had anything that could compete with mount fuji.

I LOVE MT. FUJI!!! Their prices and service have always been wonderful. It’s one of my favorite places to eat!!

Mt. Fuji has evolved into a real treasure. Great sushi, reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere yet nice for romantic dinners too — and it’s a BYOB. My husband’s favorite restaurant in Carlisle.

I don’t know about the other cuisines down the list there, but I think the value of Mt. Fuji is in it’s entrees. Items such as the tako su, the tempura or any of the soups always leave me feeling satisfied and full.
Warm sushi or not, they sure know how to dish out the servings!

This is the worst sushi place I have ever been to. While the rolls are OK the temperature is what gets me. I have never had sushi that warm before. The chef rolls also leave a lot to be desired. I’m not saying it is a bad place but it certainly isn’t worth the price.

I guess everyone else here should go to New York and pay double the price for sushi that’s not even HALF as good as Mt. Fuji. Seriously, you people are pretty snobby about your sushi, aren’t you?
This place is great, their sushi is amazing, the tako su (octopus) is highly addictive, and the service has always been great for me.
I’d recommend the Mt. Fuji roll, the Jungle roll, and the Manhattan roll.

I had lunch at Mt. Fuji the other day and was not overly impressed.
The rolls were OK but the 7 piece sushi order left a lot to be desired. The temperature of the meat immediately caught my attention upon eating it. Needless to say, it was slightly warmer than what I like.
The menu is extensive and they do have a few unique selections; however, if their refrigeration/food handling is not on the mark, all that is irrelevant.
In regards to the price… $50 w/out tip would have been ok if the food was better; however, for this meal, it was not worth it.
Simply stated, I can’t think of the last time I left anything on a plate at a sushi restaurant… I did when I ate at Mt. Fuji.

I’m just glad we have sushi finally in town. Very good food, lots of options on the menu. A tad too pricey however.

On a good day this place is ok at best. I come from a town that has plenty of sushi, this place wold be empty everyday if they were in a place with competition. Speaking of competition the short asain kid who seems to be the manger or somethingf that nature seem to like to compete on who’s the boss. I guess he is because I’m fired from the place, I wont go back….too pricey for what it is, no bar and not very westernized. (taking care of customers needs and wants)
