John’s Hideaway is just that… so pay attention when trying to find this restaurant. It is located on a corner (but not the traffic light corner) of College St and a one-way road.

They serve generous portions for not a lot of money and the staff is quite friendly.

This is a nice, small-town restaurant.

Just found out about this place and went there Sunday. What a surprise! It was absolutely wonderful. The ambience, the food, even the owner coming by to make sure we were being served well. They are very accommodating but the best part… the food! Absolutely delicious. Will make this restaurant one of my regulars in Carlisle.

Love this place. I don’t find myself here as much as I’d like, but the food and service simply cannot be beat. It’s simply good, honest food. Love it!

The food is excellent, and the service is exceedingly friendly. They make their own soups and almost everything is fresh. They’ll make anything for you that you like! A great place to eat, and prices are low.
