MW…Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience there. I often have the veggie wrap (and not because I am a vegetarian either) I just really enjoy it! It has romaine lettuce (not iceberg like most places) roasted red peppers, tomatoes, onions (prefer mine without the onions), avocadoes, cucumbers and a great balsamic blue cheese dressing that I love.
Did you say anything to the owners? They would have been more than happy to correct your issue I am sure. They are very nice.
I find these forums a little disturbing that people put less than pleasant things on them and they never even bring the concern to anyone to try to rectify the problem. They did have a new guy working who needed some extra training, but they were working with him to get him up to their standards.
I still think you should give them another try AND IF you truly only got lettuce and tomato on a wrap…I would bring it to their attention so they can FIX the issue. IMO

@Lynne: Thanks for the nice, well thought out reply. I agree. People should contact the management or owners when they have a bad experience at ANY establishment, whether it is a restaurant, retail shop, service establishment, etc… This is the only way that businesses can grow. The ones that fail, are the ones that just didn’t care.

However, many people are concerned that their comment/complaint will become a confrontation – so that is where forums, review sites and comment boards can help owners find their problems. A business owner should be proactive to find out what people are saying about their business online too, even though that can sometimes be difficult.

The staff that works there during the week is just plain rude. That is the owners I think. They could learn a little bit about customer service from the weekend crew. It is too bad because it is a great location. I now drive to Starbucks versus walking the two blocks because I don’t like to reward poor customer service. And no, it wasn’t a one time thing. Multiple visits with same results. If you are going to visit try it on the weekends.

I agree with everything Craig has said. I have been there 3 times within the last year I have lived in Carlisle. Each time I hoped to have a better experience that would make me want to come back but I have decided that three chances is enough and I will not be going back. The food might be a little pricey but it is good. The customer service is another thing. The way that the owners talked to the staff was not respectable and their attitude with me was not delightful. I since have been going to Panera and will continue to go until I hear better reviews. On a positive note, their hot chocolate is better than any I’ve had elsewhere… I would highly recommend it if you do decide to go.

    I was very dissapointed.
I went there after they moved across the street and had thier veggie wrap. What I got was a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice and that was it. VERY dissapointing for $7.00. But on the other hand they have great coffee and latte’s. I won’t be back anytime soon – I would rather go to Panera for the latte and get a good meal too!.
