The China Palace (or Palace China as the newest owners call it) was Carlisle's first original Chinese Restaurant. Originally opened in the early 80's, it brought a much needed taste of the East to our little town where until that time the chili dogs at the H.A. Milton and the "Texas" where the most diverse things in town.

Located in the Penrose Plaza, adjacent to the Walmart complex, parking is not normally an issue. They offer in-house and take-out dining, no delivery and are BYOB.

While offering most of the the tradition Americanized Chinese fare, the Palace China offers the best Hot and Sour Soup (not that corn starch thickened syrupy muck like some of the other places serve), egg rolls and chicken sticks in town in my opinion.

The restaurant is family owned and the two teenagers that run the front of the house are super polite and offer top notch service!

My only detraction is that they do not offer delivery. Maybe when the kids get their licenses and a car that will change..I sure hope so. :)
