Since leaving San Diego and moving to central PA, I have pined for border Mexican cuisine. Who knew I would find it in Carlisle, PA? It was so amazing to find horchata and nopales on the menu that I 'm afraid I went a little overboard in ordering.

What is also amazing is that this restaurant is vegetarian friendly and even has some vegan options, including the horchata and nopales.(see more on horchata, here. http://www.popsynth.com/horchata.htm)

I've been back several times since when I am in the Carlisle area and ranged around the vegetarian options. For the non-vegans, the quesadilla, which elsewhere in this area is a glob of melted cheese, here is something that makes you want to take small bites to savor the flavors and make the experience last as long as possible.

The service is a bit slow but courteous and friendly. I'm not surprised that the service is not at the speed of fast food. They actually cook food here - not just assemble it.
